My core emphasis is on direct service, impact research, advocacy support, and strategic counsel in policy areas and interventions that affect people’s everyday lives. I focus on bold initiatives and equitable policies that promote increased resourcing and positive outcomes for historically marginalized and structurally burdened groups.

I provide actionable research and counsel to individuals, organizations, and communities to contribute to a thriving, just, and equitable world. I help design, execute, and advise on strategy to initiate government policies, initiatives, or processes and local campaigns, actions, or program implementation.

My experience in cross-sector research, radical reference, alternative education, grassroots organizing, and interdisciplinary inquiry moves me to explore overlaps and forge connections. Rather than focusing on a single issue, population, domain, or discipline, I adopt a holistic, systems-level lens that invites cross-pollination and collaboration. This approach helps lift understandings and mobilize constituencies beyond a singular frame to build power and just futures for underserved communities.

I focus on the following policy and research domains:

  • Social welfare, including public benefits provision, reparations, affirmative action, immigrant protections, and abolitionist practices in everyday life
  • Economic justice, including guaranteed income, participatory budgeting, tax fairness, wealth redistribution, and worker cooperatives
  • Race equity across all sectors and systems
  • Criminal legal reform, decarceration, and reentry
  • Arts equity and impact
  • Food justice and food security
  • Public and higher education
  • Libraries and information science, including information integrity, literacy, and equity
  • Human rights
  • Housing and homelessness
  • Government transparency, accessibility, and accountability
  • Civic participation and inclusion
  • Youth justice
  • Intellectual freedom and public discourse
